The entrance is tucked away at the intersection of Big Draft Road and Stone Creek Lane — less than one-half mile from the center of White Sulphur Springs and a twenty-minute drive from Greenbrier Valley Airport, which serves the Allegheny highlands and surrounding areas. Roanoke, Virginia’s regional airport, is a 90-minute drive.
The Stone Creek ecosystem contains a wealth of oak, hickory and mixed evergreen woodlands. A riparian corridor runs through the property. Slopes have been hydro-seeded with a unique mix of clover and native grasses to further enhance the wildlife habitat and create an attractive groundcover where the woodland terminates.
A creek-side walking trail is planned, and a more challenging hiking trail may also be developed. Over 200,000 daffodils bloom annually near the walking trail.
A tranquil pond nestled in a curve of Inwood Road is under construction, and will be a special area to view wildlife and nature.
All home sites in Phase I are located at 2000 feet or higher, resulting in a beautiful mountain location while maintaining ease of entry in winter months. Elevations range from 1,850 to over 2,500 feet. Home sites are undemanding to build upon and do not require costly foundation work or extensive retaining walls.
The road to the home sites is a gentle grade that was professionally engineered and created with every attention to detail. Winter sunlight will warm the road, excellent drainage control is provided and quality materials were used.
Building sites in Phase I range in size from approximately one-half to two acres. All conveniences are scheduled for Stone Creek - water, sewer, natural gas, cable, high-speed Internet, rubbish collection, police and fire protection.
